Announcing the Centennial Campaign Martin Challenge Grant
With the Martin $400,000 Challenge Grant, your gift is now worth double
If you've been to the museum since the beginning of July, you know that construction began on our multi-phase $11-12 million expansion and renovation project that will give us a new 5,500 square foot Gallery, increased Art Storage Space, create a Curatorial Wing and an Education Complex, with a Children's Art Gallery, two much-needed classrooms and a premiere Special Events space for lectures, jazz nights, openings and rental events. All of this will ensure our ability to serve as an even more valuable cultural resource with a splendid new facility designed to better serve you, the community and the region.
Success is close at hand
The James A. Michener Art Museum's Centennial Capital Campaign, launched in 2006, had raised over $10.3 million towards its new goal of $11.1 million. We have $800,000 left to raise to meet our goal. Our most recent gift, a Challenge Grant, made by Museum Trustee Syd Martin and his wife Sharon, will help bring us to our final goal
but we need your help in order to succeed.
The Martin $400,000 Challenge Grant for Campaign Completion will match all gifts up to $400,000.
Every gift received now will be immediately doubled. Your gift, and those of other members and friends, will be matched dollar for dollar to help complete the campaign. This is a very special opportunity to participate personally in this transformational project for the Museum.
We ask that you make your tax-deductible gift to the Centennial Campaign now in this final critical stage of the Campaign.
If you have any questions concerning making your gift, please contact Carol Nelson, Director of Advancement, at 215-340-9800, ext.167.
